This Cookie Policy explains how Zorzen Studios (“FanLens”) uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) at https://fanlens.app and https://web.fanlens.app. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, store information in your browser. Both let a service remember things, for example that you are signed in.
2. Our approach
- We use only what is strictly necessary, plus Google Analytics if, and only if, you agree.
- Google Analytics does not load until you click “Accept”. Before that, and if you click “Reject”, no analytics script is downloaded, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google. Page views from before your choice are not recorded later.
- We do not use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies, and Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off.
- Our pages make no other third-party requests: fonts are served from our own domain.

On the marketing site (https://fanlens.app) the only essential cookie is the one that remembers your choice; the sign-in cookies exist only in the app (https://web.fanlens.app) and only once you sign in. The choice cookie and the Google Analytics cookies are set on .fanlens.app, so one choice and the same cookies cover the site and the app. We cap the Google Analytics cookies at 12 months instead of Google’s two-year default. Payments run on Stripe’s own checkout page (checkout.stripe.com); any cookies Stripe sets there are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy, and Stripe sets none on our domains.
4. Legal basis
Strictly necessary cookies and storage (sign-in and remembering your cookie choice) are exempt from consent because they are needed to provide the service you ask for (Art. 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as implemented in Art. 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunicatiewet). Analytics cookies are stored and read only with your consent, and the analytics data is processed on the basis of that consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
5. Your choice, and changing it
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. “Accept” and “Reject” are equally easy, nothing is pre-selected, and scrolling or carrying on browsing is not consent. If you make no choice, analytics stays off.
You can change your mind at any time with the link in the footer of this site (and on the app’s sign-in, share and Settings pages). When you withdraw consent, analytics stops immediately: we switch Google Analytics off, remove its script and delete the _ga and _ga_* cookies from your browser. Withdrawal does not affect analytics collected before it.
Your choice is stored in the fanlens_consent cookie for 12 months and applies to both https://fanlens.app and https://web.fanlens.app: withdrawing on one also applies to the other (in a tab that is already open, from its next page load). After 12 months, or if we change what we use, we ask again. If your browser blocks cookies (for example in some private modes), we keep your choice only in memory for the page you are on, so you may be asked again on your next visit.
6. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you from signing in to the app.
